About the role: E-commerce manager
Alpine is looking for an ambitious E-commerce manager to join their dynamic digital team and help drive the growth of their e-commerce platform. This role will play a pivotal part in optimizing their digital flagship store and driving commercial success through hands-on management, continuous improvements, and a deep understanding of the e-commerce formula.

As the E-commerce manager, you will be the main driver of performance for Alpine’s webshop. This includes overseeing the customer journey, optimizing conversion rates, increasing average order value (AOV), and implementing strategies for upselling and cross-selling. The ideal candidate will need to be a pioneer, someone who doesn’t mind getting hands-on and solving problems immediately. The role requires a leader who can directly manage a team of three—a Customer Journey Marketer, a Webshop Manager, and an intern—while also guiding and collaborating with the online marketing team without direct hierarchical control. You will work alongside various departments, including online marketing, and campaign teams to drive traffic and ensure the webshop converts at its best. The tasks and responsibilities listed:

  • Ownership of webshop performance: Manage and optimize the webshop to increase traffic, conversion rates, and AOV.
  • Customer journey optimization: Work closely with specialists in CRO, UX, and customer journey to improve the overall customer experience, ensuring maximum conversion.
  • Strategy & execution: Develop and implement strategies to boost webshop sales by making the right adjustments, such as cross-sell and upsell tactics.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams: Work closely with performance marketing to ensure effective social advertising, optimize landing pages, and drive traffic.
  • Hands-on problem-solving: Take responsibility for resolving issues quickly, implementing solutions, and ensuring better webshop performance every day.
  • Data-driven decision making: Use analytics and data to inform decisions, monitor KPIs, and ensure that the right changes are made to drive growth.
  • Leadership in a non-hierarchical environment: Even without formal direct reports, the E-commerce manager will be responsible for leading and coordinating efforts across the business, guiding junior team members, and ensuring alignment on goals.

What are we looking for in you as an E-commerce manager?

  • Proven e-commerce experience: You have 3 to 8 years of experience in managing and optimizing webshops, with expertise in driving e-commerce growth, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and enhancing customer journeys.
  • Results-driven mindset: You are a results-oriented professional with a data-driven approach to making decisions. You have the skills to identify key opportunities and implement strategies that improve webshop performance and drive revenue growth.
  • Hands-on leadership: You demonstrate strong leadership skills, able to guide junior team members, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, such as performance marketing and UX specialists, to ensure smooth execution and growth.

What does Alpine offer you as an E-commerce manager?

  • A salary dependent on knowledge and experience, up to €83.700 a year.
  • Good opportunities for personal development and training budget.
  • Be part of a fantastic, ambitious team with many annual outings, such as a sailing trip, company overnight, Christmas party and more.
  • Free tickets for the many great races and festivals where Alpine is present.
  • Free lunch twice a week at the office.
  • Weekly free company workout
