Performance Marketeer | European leader in testing, inspecting and certification

PLEASE NOTE: This role requires Dutch language comprehension at B1 level or higher, in order to actively participate in team and client communication.

We rarely stop to think about it: that the water coming from your tap is clean, that the food in an amusement park is properly inspected for safety or that the air quality around us meets strict standards.
Behind all these everyday assumptions lies an entire world of testing, inspecting, certifying and monitoring.
That world is Normec.

A fast-growing international organisation that brings safety, quality and sustainability to life in our society. As a Performance Marketeer, you will directly contribute to this mission by ensuring that Normec’s services reach the right people, at the right time, through the right channels.

About Normec

Normec was officially founded in 2016 in the Netherlands, with its headquarters located in Amsterdam. The founders, including Joep Bruins, had previous entrepreneurial experience. After selling their previous company, they recognised opportunities within the market for testing, inspection and certification.

Since its inception, Normec has followed a “buy-and-build / consolidation strategy”: acquiring dozens of specialised companies (laboratories, inspection agencies, certification bodies, etc.) and integrating them into one shared platform.

This strategy has transformed Normec from a relatively young organisation into an international player in Testing, Inspection, Certification & Compliance (TICC). With over 90 specialised companies in areas such as foodcare, sustainability, life safety and healthcare, Normec helps organisations operate safely, responsibly and efficiently contributing to a more sustainable and safe society in the long term.

Their ambition is to become one of the top 3 players in the TICC markets in which they operate, with a strong focus on international growth and expansion.

Internally, Normec is committed to professionalising its marketing and data capabilities. This means moving from a fragmented landscape to a more centralised, data-driven, scalable and consistent marketing organisation.

Your Role as a Performance Marketeer at Normec

You will be part of the Performance Marketing team, which consists of three other performance marketeers and sits within the larger Group Marketing organisation. You will report directly to the Group Marketing Director.

As a Performance Marketeer, you translate business needs into effective campaigns. You will work across a wide range of entities (20–40 companies per business line), making each day different. From campaigns for food laboratories to lead generation for safety inspection companies, Normec will determine together with you which business line you will support.

Your responsibilities include:

• Setting up and optimising online campaigns, primarily through Google Ads and LinkedIn.
• Identifying commercial opportunities per company and developing targeted campaigns.
• Analysing data and advising on how to target and optimise more effectively.
• Reducing agency spend by doing more in-house: hands-on, no-nonsense.
• Working with Dynamics and various decentralised data systems — and helping to professionalise these.
• Experimenting, testing, learning and adjusting: no lengthy plans, just action.
• Collaborating closely with the brand/content marketeer, sales teams and the Commercial Director.

You are someone who takes initiative, thrives in a hands-on environment, can handle direct feedback, maintains oversight amidst complexity and gets energy from delivering measurable results.

What You Will Receive as a Performance Marketeer at Normec

Normec’s culture is informal, open, energetic and entrepreneurial rooted in their GROWTH principles. Through The Normec Fit Programme, which brings these principles to life, they ensure not only the company grows, but also the people within it. They organise team-building activities, stress management workshops and sports events to help employees stay healthy and engaged as the company continues to scale.

Additionally, you will receive:
• A role with meaningful societal impact: your campaigns contribute directly to a safer world.
• The opportunity to work in a rapidly growing organisation with strong ambitions.
• A direct, energetic and professional team where feedback is normal and initiative is encouraged.
• Freedom to build your own campaigns, run experiments and optimise performance.
• The chance to help shape a marketing department in transformation — where your expertise truly makes a difference.
• A competitive salary between €3500 and €5000, depending on experience.
